About us
Zion United Methodist Church was establish in the early 1800's and has been worshiping the Lord and serving the Dorchester and surrounding communities since then. Our Pastor is Rev. Palmer Hudson, who just moved to our Charge in July of 2020. Zion is part of a two point circuit along with Salem United Methodist Church and we share Christmas, Easter and other services and activities together throughout the worship year.
We worship Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior through Worship, Bible Study, Sunday School, community service, and commitment to love one another. Historically we have served and proclaimed the Good News by visiting the sick, caring for our elders, and being with persons in need.
We are a come as you are Church and we welcome all people of all ages. When you come into our church, expect to feel the love of Jesus Christ first and foremost. Each week our children join us for the service and go to Children's Church before the sermon. We love our families, and love hearing the sounds of little ones. We have both casual and dressed up folks, so come and worship. Our worship service begins at 11:30 am.
